Charlie Allen Memorial Scholarship

Charlie Allen was a son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend to many. Charlie had a smile that drew you in and left an indelible impression on everyone he met. He was a student of Philosophy at the University of Illinois Chicago and enjoyed engaging family and friends in philosophical discussions. Charlie suffered from depression and anxiety and lost his battle with mental illness in 2018 at the age of 22. He was a kind hearted young man who was always willing to assist a friend or fellow student in need. We honor Charlie’s life by helping other students. Please visit his memorial website at www.charlierallen.org.

Purpose: The Charlie Allen Memorial Scholarship grants funds to students at The University of Illinois Chicago based on financial need, academic achievement, and an expressed interest in pursuing a Philosophy degree.
