We welcome applications from all qualified applicants. These pages are designed to help you decide whether graduate school is for you and if so, whether UIC is a good fit for you – and if so, to help you with the application process. But the first, and perhaps most important, piece of advice is to speak about graduate school early (a year before the deadline is not too soon) and often with someone who works in the field and knows you and your work; most likely, someone at your current institution.
