Rachel Goodman’s edited volume now out, Singular Thought and Mental Files
Singular Thought and Mental Files, edited by Rachel Goodman, James Genone, and Nick Kroll, is now available from Oxford University Press.
The literature on singular thought has come to highlight the claim that singular thought is thought that employs mental files. But it's not always clear what a mental file is meant to be, and why we should think file based thought is always singular. This volume brings together original work by influential scholars to examine the notions of singular thought, mental files and the relationship between them.
