About
Carmen joined the department in the Fall of 2025 and uses the surnames Wong and Wang interchangeably at academic conferences and workshops. Her research lies at the intersection of philosophy of mind and perceptual cognition, engaging with related questions in neuroscience and linguistics. Before Carmen turned most of her attention to philosophy, she was a German-trained professional classical cellist and spent her younger years performing and competing across Europe. In her spare time, Carmen enjoys exploring museums and attending classical concerts around the world with her partner, John, who is a classical pianist and philosopher.
