Minorities and Philosophy
MAP is a collection of students in English-speaking philosophy departments that aims to examine and address issues of minority participation in academic philosophy. Though primarily led by graduate students, MAP also relies on faculty support and encourages undergraduate participation. Learn more at the MAP site.
The UPDirectory
The UPDirectory publicizes information about philosophers who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups in philosophy. The purpose of the directory is to provide an easy-to-use resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the work of philosophers who belong to underrepresented groups within the discipline.
Job Candidate Mentoring Program for Women in Philosophy
The group matches job candidates with junior faculty mentors who have recently been on the market. Read more about the program here.
Philosophy of Science Association’s Women’s Caucus
The goals of the Caucus are to informally mentor women entering the philosophy of science, to provide an opportunity for networking among the women of the PSA, to raise the visibility of women in the field, and to address any concerns about women and gender in the PSA.
